SE-YA SHOUT-OUTS

Have a SE-YA shout-out? Share it here!
"My favorite part of SE-YA is meeting, talking to, and connecting with students." - Greg Howard, author of Social Intercourse and The Whispers
"Interacting with real authors who made themselves available and were willing to allow students to reach out to them later brought so much excitement to our students!" - Rhonda Winton, educator, Coffee County Central High School
"The authors were so incredibly generous with their time and attention--I saw and heard many, MANY incredibly meaningful conversations as I waited with my students (I'm tearing up right now just thinking about it!), and it meant so much for my students to have that interaction" - Karen Hable, educator, Mauston High School, Mauston, WI

#SEYA2019 MEMORIES!

"The students realized that the authors are ordinary people that come from all walks of life and backgrounds. As the authors talked with the students, you could see the deep appreciation they have for their readers."- Wendy Hicks, Big Sandy High School, Benton County School District, TN

SE-YA Book Fest is a FREE one-of-a kind of event that takes place annually in March. It is designed to place teens and authors of young adult literature in a setting to interact about what they love most -- YA lit! The primary goal of the Southeastern Young Adult Book Festival is to encourage and develop literacy in young adults by connecting them with authors, thereby advancing education in the community.  What better way to do that than to have a little fun?
SE-YA is dedicated to a safe event experience for everyone.

SE-YA Book Fest believes in a world where everyone belongs, and we reject all forms of racism.
